How do you protect from a DDoS attack?

Using our Seclex approach; security in-depth, we can protect your organization from DDoS attacks.

There is no single software or hardware that can protect from a DDoS attack. There must be a layered security approach.

Which are more secure, multi-word/phrase passwords or passwords made using a combination of letters, numbers, and symbols?

Passphrases are more secure. It’s more important to create a long password that's at least 14 characters long with phrases that the user can remember, rather than a complex password that probably will consist of 10 or fewer characters, which can be quickly guessed by a tool that hackers use. We always recommend using a password manager or applying multi-factor authentication when possible.

Can you recommend any tips for protecting ourselves from identity theft?

SecLex recommends our clients to be very diligent. Do not fall for any phishing scams, whether they are over the phone, text, or by email. Do not provide any personal information unless you are 100% sure you know whom you’re giving it to. Social engineering techniques are always evolving. If ever in doubt, do not do it. Give SecLex a call for expert advice, we offer free security awareness.

How do you assess a company’s network?

Our cybersecurity experts will go into the business and analyze it in its entirety. Assessing the architecture and design of the network, allows SecLex to identify any threats and vulnerabilities. The team will then create a risk assessment and provide the organization with the results.
